The closing event of the EU funded Aviation Sector Support Programme II Zambia (ASSP II), implemented by EASA International Cooperation over the past 6 years, took place in Lusaka, Zambia on 21 September 2023 and was attended by all main stakeholders.

An EASA delegation, composed by Thomas Mickler, Head of International Cooperation Department and Jose Manuel Quevedo Moreno, Project Manager – International Cooperation America & Africa Section, travelled on-site to attend in person the closing event.

Among the many participants, the attendance of high-level representatives as Fredrick Mwalusaka - the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in Zambia was noted. The acting DG of Zambia CAA, Mulonda Mulonda expressed his gratitude to the EU and, in particular to EASA for their technical and financial support.
